Sterling silver develops a natural patina over time—some love the vintage look, others prefer a bright polish. Either way, a few simple habits keep your pieces looking their best for years.
Remove silver before swimming, showering, or applying perfume. Humidity accelerates tarnish, so store pieces in a dry pouch with an anti-tarnish strip. Wipe jewelry with a soft cloth after each wear to remove oils and moisture.
For deeper cleaning, use a silver polishing cloth—not toothpaste, which can scratch soft metals. Pieces with gemstones need gentler care: damp cloth only, never soak. Regular wear actually helps: the friction of movement can slow tarnish on frequently worn items.
